NEW DELHI: BMW Motorrad on Thursday launched the BS6 compliant versions of the G 310 R and the G 310 GS. Both the motorcycles have entered the market with a few cosmetic changes.
The BMW G 310 R starts at Rs 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom) and the G 310 GS starts at Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Both the motorcycles cost around Rs 50,000 less than their predecessors.

The BMW G 310 twins feature the same build and the same structure as their BS4 predecessors. The new addition to the motorcycles is a full LED package that includes LED DRLs, LED indicators and a LED taillight. The new vinyl, graphics and the body frame add a refreshed look to the motorcycle.
The G 310 twins are powered by a 313cc single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine that churns of 34 PS of power and offers a peak torque of 27 Nm. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycles can accelerate from 0-50 kmph in 2.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 143 kmph.
The G310 twins now feature a clutch lever and handbrake lever that can be adjusted in four stages. Another new addition is the ‘ride by wire’ system which improves the control and throttle response of the motorcycles through a sensor. The G 310 R and the G 310 RS now feature an enhanced 2-channel ABS system with better braking performance.

The BMW G 310 R will be offered with three new colour schemes- cosmic black, polar white and limestone metallic. The BMW G 310 GS will also be offered in three new colour schemes-polar white, ’40 years of GS’ in cosmic black, and kyanite blue metallic.
