Ensure hundred percent safe storage of wheat

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan deliberated with District Collectors and Commissioners through video conferencing today as regard to the rainfall took place in various districts of the state and directed them to ensure completion of hundred percent safe storage of wheat. Shri Chouhan said that along with dealing Corona, safe storage of wheat kept in the open in some places is a challenge because of the rains with strong winds caused now by storm Nisarga. Although it has been informed that very less quantity of wheat is yet to be transported to warehouses, but full payment to the farmers will be made against the procured wheat. They need not worry. Shri Chouhan directed that the vehicles of those districts, where the transportation work has been completed can be attached to other districts.

Madhya Pradesh is at second place for wheat procurement in country

Shri Chouhan congratulated District Collectors, farmers including officers of the concerned departments for bumper production and smooth procurement work. He said that a historic work has been accomplished under the wheat procurement in Madhya Pradesh. The procurement has reached One crore 25 lakh 60 thousand MT today. At present, Madhya Pradesh is at second place after Punjab. It is a matter of pride. He mentioned that hundred percent wheat procurement and transport work were made possible by the officials under the adverse conditions in 26 districts. It is a pleasure to achieve success in adversity and in crisis. Shri Chouhan said that necessary arrangements should be made to ensure that wheat should not spoil anywhere. Monsoon has reached Kerala and in such a situation, in the coming days, where wheat is kept in the open, work should be done to protect it. Arrangement should be made to protect the remaining stock by laying the dunnage sheets. He instructed all the Collectors to ensure payment of the amount received by them to the farmers. Shri Chouhan also gave instructions to all the Collectors pertaining to procurement and transportation of Gram. He said that this work should also be done after receiving the permission for Tiwda mix Gram. Shri Chouhan also instructed the officers to complete the works by forming teams of officers, using the staff of other departments. He sought information from the officers regarding the locust control. Out of 21 districts of the state, 18 districts have got rid of locust problem. Necessary measures are being taken in the remaining 3 districts i.e. Shivpuri, Betul and Rewa. Work to destroy locusts has been conducted using fire brigades and spraying of medicine. The Chief Minister directed to make concrete arrangement for procurement of Gram, Mustard and Masoor (Red Lentil) too.

Monitor Corona constantly

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that in view of a possible peak of corona virus according to experts, all precautions should be taken as per the local conditions. Public awareness campaign should be continued. Educational institutions are closed now. Necessary arrangements have been made for holding class 12th examinations. All the Collectors should ensure implementation of every necessary measure to ensure that people do not get infected with the conduct of economic activities in their districts. Shri Chouhan congratulated the administrative staff for their efforts in increasing the recovery rate, testing in hospitals, treatment and other arrangements in the districts. He further said that the Police force has also done work with full passion and courage in this hour of crisis. Shri Chouhan congratulated the Police force for their commendable services.

Joy of success in adverse situations

Shri Chouhan directed that all arrangements should be well planned to prevent spread of infection in any city. Provide relief to citizens and business community; make necessary arrangements by deciding timings and dates of markets. He further instructed to constantly monitor the numbers of patients affected by Corona virus. It is a matter of satisfaction that there is no news of spreading virus because of Unlock-1. Anyhow, the work of sampling and screening should be conducted continuously. Every citizen should stay conscious. Shopkeepers should have sanitizer arrangement. Mandatory use of mask and social distancing should be followed. There is an arrangement of about 85 thousand beds in the state, so that possibility of any crisis can be handled effectively. He said that Madhya Pradesh has proved that positive cases can also be cured. As a result of good arrangements, the recovery rate of Madhya Pradesh is at second place in the country. Shri Chouhan asserted that administrative officers always work with passion in hour of crisis. Success has special meaning, when we succeed in adverse situations. Render better service to people and protect people of the state from the pandemic, he added.

The Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman informed that necessary instructions have been sent to the districts according to the guidelines of Government of India. Under the 3 dimensional strategy, success has been received in controlling virus by tracing individuals came in contact with positive persons, use of Sarthak App, surveillance, continuous survey and fever clinics. Shri Suleman further informed that work order has been placed for preparing ICUs and oxygen beds in 35 districts. These arrangements will be completed by the Collectors by this month end.

The Principal Secretary Food Shri Shivshekhar Shukla informed that till today, over One crore 25 lakh wheat has already been procured. Maximum wheat has already been transported and stored. Recent rainfall has not caused a big damage to wheat. Districts have followed the instructions given in advance to them for making necessary arrangement as regard to the safety of the procured wheat.

The Collector Bhopal informed that there is no major spread anywhere. IITT strategy is working in Bhopal. Arrangement has been made for opening of about 30 percent shops on different days. The Collector Indore said that a lot of relaxation has already been given in the past in rural areas. Production is gaining momentum in the industry sector. About 75 percent production is taking place. Now, arrangement of rotation has to be made for gold, cloth and utensils businessmen. The Ujjain Collector said that after discussing with public representatives and business organizations, arrangements have been made to open shops on one side of the road on one day and shops on the other side on the next. This is helping in avoiding overcrowding. Teams of officers have been formed, which are monitoring the system continuously. The Jabalpur Collector informed that city bus service is being started. The private bus association is not ready yet to run buses to other places. The Collector Gwalior said that economic activities are being conducted in all the wards of the city. Hair cutting saloons have also been started. Necessary arrangements have been completed in total 104 centers for holding class 12th examinations.
