NEW DELHI: Police arrested two men for allegedly trying to ferry 49 migrant laourers illegally to Bihar. The accused were nabbed after the vehicle was intercepted at a check point in southeast Delhi.
Police said that the bus driver had charged Rs 4,000 from each person. Police also said that on Monday night, a tourist bus bearing an Uttar Pradesh numberplate was spotted at Estate Entry Road.
When questioned, the driver pointed to an e-pass pasted on the windshield.
However, on checking, the labourers were found sitting inside the bus headed towards Kishanganj, Bihar. The e-pass also proved to be fake on verification.
According to the cops, A case has been registered against the driver Manish Kumar Jha (31) and the owner of the bus, Shravan Kumar Shukla (42).
