Delhi University clears air on open book exam worries | Delhi News


NEW DELHI: Delhi University has issued an order in response to the queries raised by college principals over the recently concluded online open book exams. While many students did not get any confirmation mail after submitting their answer sheets through e-mail, they should not worry as the university keeps a record and will rectify any discrepancy, DU has clarified.
Many principals had earlier got queries from students who were worried about the submission of scanned images and photos of answer scripts.
“Students who have submitted scanned images or photos of answer scripts on the portal and through email will be considered for evaluation. In case if the students have not received any confirmation for submission of the scanned images of the answer sheets through e-mail, they should be advised to keep a record of the email sent by them after the conclusion of the exam along with the attachment of the pictures of their answer sheets,” the university has clarified.
DU has said that students can present email as a proof in case of any discrepancy after the declaration of results. In case of any discrepancy related to the internal assessment, the principal of the college may assess the merit of the students and accordingly forward such cases to the examination branch along with justifiable reasons within 10 days of the results so that it can be rectified, the university added.
