The film which stars John David Washington in the lead role saw a good response across the globe as many people stepped out to watch the film in the theatre. ‘Tenet’ which recently released in the US and China managed to do a business of around $50 million at the weekend.
Despite struggling to make ground in the US, the Nolan directorial performed well in China as it minted around $30 million including previews, according to Box Office India report. With better conditions in China, ‘Tenet’ which has currently earned around $150 million overall, is expected to excel in the coming days and reach the $200 million mark in the international market soon.
With films like ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘Inception’, ‘Dunkirk’ and others under his belt, ‘Tenet’ was expected to do better business at the box office if the conditions were normal. But despite all the social distancing and a comparative low attendance, the film is expected to remain steady in domestic and international circuits.
Tom Cruise, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ in Norway had also stepped out and headed to a theatre in London to catch a show of Nolan’s ‘Tenet’. Not only that but Cruise even documented his experience and shared it on social media.
‘Tenet’ which also stars Robert Pattinson, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, Elizabeth Debicki and others is expected to continue its decent run at the box office as the next big release is after a few months. Daniel Craig‘s ‘No Time To Die‘ will be releasing in the UK on 12th November.
