Hero MotoCorp: Hero MotoCorp sold 4.5 lakh units in June, reaches 90% of pre-Covid sales


NEW DELHI: Hero MotoCorp sold over 4.5 lakh two-wheelers in June and said the company has reached 90% of pre-Covid sales.
The largest two-wheeler maker, however, logged a decline of 26.8 per cent in domestic sales against the year-ago period, where it sold 616,526 units of motorcycles and scooters.
The industry was plagued by the Covid-19 pandemic, however, Hero MotoCorp managed to sell a total of 563,426 units of motorcycles and scooters in the first quarter of Financial Year (April-June) 2020-21.
Hero MotoCorp made significant progress in ramping-up the production across all its eight manufacturing facilities – six in India and two in global markets.
More than 95% of the customer touch points of Hero MotoCorp have been operational, also with strict safety measures and protocols in place, the company said in a release.
Hero MotoCorp has also commenced the dispatches of Xtreme 160R. The new Xtreme 160R is priced Rs 99,950 (ex-showroom) onwards.
