MUMBAI: The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) began operations in a full fledged manner in the non-red zones across Maharashtra from Friday.
The buses maintained social distancing with 50% occupancy and one passenger on every two seats. Masks were compulsory while drivers/conductors used sanitisers and also conducted temperature checks of passengers at few depots, sources said.
The red zones like Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai will have MSRTC buses only to ferry essential workers.
