Maharashtra: 3 Covid-19 patients dead in Kalyan-Dombivli, patients’ number reaches 594 | Thane News


KALYAN: Three Covid-19 patients died in last 24 hours including an 87- year- old man who got infected after coming in contact of his son in Kalyan on Wednesday.
The city on Wednesday also witnessed 24 fresh patients taking the total to 594 including 15 deaths.
Two other patients who died include, a 70-year- old man from Dombivli and a- 39-year old woman from Mohane area in Titwala. The health department officials said that the 87-year old man is resident from Bail Bazar area in Kalyan (West). His son recently was found positive after which health department had conducted test of his close contacts including his father who on Tuesday was tested positive.
The man was admitted to Holy cross hospital in Kalyan where he died on Wednesday morning during treatment. On Wednesday 13 more patients has got discharge from different hospital making so far 227 discharged from city while remaining 352 active patients still taking treatment at different hospitals.
