MUMBAI: A senior Congress minister in the Uddhav Thackeray cabinet who tested positive for Covid-19 has been admitted in the hospital, sources said. The minister, who becomes second from the state cabinet to test positive, is said to have got the infection from his driver.
As of now, the minister has been admitted in the hospital for treatment. Sources mentioned that he had quarantined himself for few days as precaution after suspected but tested negative. However, on Saturday, when he underwent the test for the virus, the result was positive.
Earlier one of the NCP minister who had tested positive was admitted in the hospital on April 23, he returned home on May 10 after winning the battle against the infection.
