The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza’s facelift was launched in March this year and not even the Covid crisis could dampen the compact SUVs performance in the market. The Brezza has been clutching the top spot in the B-SUV sales since the lockdown began and continued to perform well in the market even as the Indian economy reopened.

Within a span of 6 months, the Vitara Brezza has managed to sell a little over 32000 units in the market. Starting at Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom), it has also earned its place as one of the most affordable compact SUVs in India.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was the uncrowned king of the B-SUV segment in India until Kia Sonet grabbed the spotlight for the September market share. It will be an interesting battle between the Korean newcomer and the seasoned Japanese fan favourite.
“Since its launch, Vitara Brezza has dominated the compact SUV segment. As a trendsetter, it clicked with the passion of the SUV buyer, with its bold design language, powerful performance and sporty character. It quickly went on to become the most awarded compact SUV as well as dominated the sales charts. With the introduction of the powerful 1.5L petrol engine along with numerous design updates, Vitara Brezza has further delighted the customers and cemented its pole position in the segment. This 5.5 lakh sales milestone of Vitara Brezza has been a marquee statement of our endeavour to consistently innovate and strengthen Maruti Suzuki’s portfolio in line with the current consumer preferences and market trends,” said Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director, MSIL.
