Mercedes-Benz India launches 2 new variants of GLE LWB

NEW DELHI: Mercedes-Benz India has introduced two new variants to its GLE portfolio. The SUV will now be available in a top-end petrol (450 4MATIC) and diesel variant (400 d 4MATIC), the company announced on Tuesday.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4MATIC LWB is priced at Rs 88.80 lakh (ex-showroom price) and GLE 400 d 4MATIC LWB at Rs 89.90 lakh (ex-showroom price).
The luxury carmaker has also announced financial benefits on the newly launched SUVs. Star Ease service packages for the new petrol variant starts at Rs 77,600 for 2 years and unlimited kms and for the diesel variant at Rs 89,100 for 2 years and unlimited kms
The new variants are powered by a BS VI in-line six-cylinder engine. The GLE 450 4MATIC LWB (Petrol) produces an output of 270 kW (367 hp) & 500 Nm of Torque and an additional 250 Nm of torque and 16 kW (22 hp) via EQ Boost. The car claims to reach from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds.
On the other hand, the new GLE 400 d 4MATIC LWB (Diesel) produces an output of 243 kW (330 hp) & 700 Nm of Torque and claims to reach from 0 to 100 km/h in the same amount of seconds as the GLE 450 4MATIC.
The current LWB GLE range comprises the BS VI GLE 300 d 4MATIC LWB and the top-end CBU GLE 400 d 4MATIC LWB Hip Hop variants. The SUV was launched into the market with a waiting period of 3 months.
