Mumbai: Man stabbed to death, another hurt over petty dispute | Mumbai News

MUMBAI: A man was stabbed to death and another was injured during an argument with a friend over a petty dispute in Antop Hill area of central Mumbai, police said on Friday. The incident took place near Kalpak Naka on Thursday night, when Shabbir Shaikh (19) allegedly stabbed Naki Said Khan (19) and his friend Mustakim (20), an official said.
Naki had allegedly borrowed a sword from Shabbir a few months ago and had misplaced it, following which the duo quarrelled over money to replace the weapon, the official said.
The victim and the accused met in the presence of their fathers at Kalpak Naka, where following an argument, Shabbir stabbed Naki in the chest and his friend in the back, before fleeing the scene, he said.
While Naki was declared dead before admission at Sion Hospital, Mustakim is undergoing treatment, the official said, adding that the accused was subsequently arrested.
