Noida: Gangster Sunder Bhati’s Rs 7 crore property demolished | Noida News

GREATER NOIDA: Following the directions of Uttar Pradesh chief minister on crackdown of organised crime after the Kanpur encounter, GB Nagar police demolished unaccounted property worth around Rs 7 crore of dreaded gangster Sunder Bhati and his accomplice Satveer Bansal in Ghanghola village on Saturday.
Police said that the land, measuring over 650sqm was originally sanctioned to the panchayat of the area for a pond which the accused and his accomplice illegally acquired a few years ago. They had allegedly built a house that was also demolished.

Police teams from six police stations of Greater Noida were roped in to ensure the action. Rajesh Kumar Singh, DCP (Zone 3) told TOI that the unaccounted properties of organised gangs are being seized under the provisions of the Gangster Act, “It came to light that the construction was illegal and since the accused who claims to be the owner is already booked under the Gangster Act, we are legally empowered to attach the property,” he said, adding that it will be ensured that the accused do not resume construction in the future.

Police sources said that they have been asked to prepare a list of other gangsters active in Gautam Budh Nagar and their unaccounted properties that need to be attached.

Anil Dujana gang, Randeep Bhati gang and Singhraj Bhati gang are also under the scanner. Bhati is currently lodged in UP’s Hamirpur jail. He was earlier in news for notorious crimes registered against him and his gang with various police stations of the National Capital Region and western Uttar Pradesh. Most recently he was accused of extorting money from a Surajpur-based transporter.
