Nushrat, who was last seen in ‘Dream Girl’ alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, is all set to play the main lead in a horror film titled ‘Chhori’. The film is a Hindi remake of the award-winning Marathi film ‘Lapachhapi’.
Taking to her Instagram account, Nushrat wrote, “Thrilled to announce my next film, #Chhori (#छोरी) – Something shockingly scary is coming your way! Excited to work with @abundantiaent @crypttv @ivikramix @notjackdavis and with the amazing @furia_vishal #Psych @shikhaarif.sharma @raedita @thevishalkapoor”
The 2017 Marathi film caught people’s attention as it told the story of age-old societal beliefs and practices that give rise to tales of pure terror. The film’s unique blend of scary and social drama made it a thrilling as well as an emotional ride. Keeping the same essence intact, the script of ‘Chhori’ is being written by Vishal Kapoor who also wrote the original. Also, the Hindi remake will be helmed by Vishal Furia who had directed ‘Lapachhapi’as well.
While the story will totally revolve around Nushrat’s character, it will be exciting to see her in an all-new avatar on screen. Other than ‘Chhori’, Nushrat has some other interesting projects in the pipeline. She will be seen in ‘Chhalaang’ opposite Rajkummar Rao and in ‘Hurdang’ alongside Sunny Kaushal.
