Rain, thundershowers for Mumbai likely on June 1 | Mumbai News

MUMBAI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Mumbai observatory has issued a warning for rain and thundershowers for Mumbai and Thane on June 1. Meanwhile, parts of Raigad and Ratnagiri are expected to witness thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds as well.
The official onset of south west monsoons over Mumbai is June 11 however IMD earlier had forecast pre-monsoon showers for the city and adjoining areas in the first week of June.
Meanwhile maximum temperatures in Mumbai continued to stay high on Friday with the IMD Colaba observatory recording maximum temperatures of 35.2 degrees and IMD Sanatcruz observatory recording maximum temperatures of 34.9 degrees Celsius.
