NEW DELHI: Royal Enfield on Thursday announced that the Meteor 350 will be rolled out on November 6 after numerous delays. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is replacing the Thunderbird line-up of the automaker.
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is the first motorcycle based on the automaker’s new J-platform. The Meteor 350 will be sporting a completely new air-cooled and motor injected UCE 350cc engine discarding the one used by Thunderbird and ThunderbirdX 350. The engine is expected to be paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

The new engine is expected to have the SOHC (single overhead cam) instead of the previous push-rod actuated valves. The next-gen engine is expected to be smoother compared to the UCE 350cc engines of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and the Classic 350.
According to the industry reports, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will be available in 3 variants- Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. To keep up with the competition in the 350cc segment, the motorcycle will also boast some modern features.
Expected to be priced between Rs 1.70 lakh – Rs 1.90 lakh, this motorcycle will be a direct rival to the new Honda H’ness CB350 and the Jawa Perak.
