NEW DELHI: All asymptomatic domestic passengers coming to Delhi by air, train or bus will need to home quarantine themselves for seven days. The Delhi government has ordered that airport, railway and transport authorities will provide passenger manifest to the it on a daily basis.
In turn, the passenger manifest will be sent to respective district magistrates under whose jurisdiction the passenger resides/stays who will ensure passengers remain in home quarantine for seven days.
Delhi chief secretary Vijay Dev issued this order on Wednesday. “Delhi Disaster Management Authority is satisfied that the NCT of Delhi is threatened with spread of COVID-19 epidemic… DDMA has issued an order (on May 24) whereby conveying the guidelines for domestic travel (air /train/ inter-state bus travel) issued by (Union) health ministry… in partial modification of (that) order directs all authorities concerned as follows…”

The directions are as follows:
* All asymptomatic passengers who enter / de-board in NCT of Delhi shall home quarantine themselves for 7 days.
* Concerned airport authorities, railway authorities (general manager, Northern Railway) and transport authorities (secretary-cum-commissioner (transport), Delhi government and MD, DTC) shall provide passenger manifest to the Office of Principal Secretary (Revenue)-cum-Divisional Commissioner, GNCTD on a daily basis.
* The office of Principal Secretary (Revenue)-cum-Divisional Commissioner, Delhi government shall forward the passenger manifest to the respective District Magistrates under whose jurisdiction the passenger resides/stays.
* The District Magistrates shall ensure that the passengers residing in their jurisdiction remain in home quarantine for 7 days.
