st stephens college admission 2020: St Stephen’s registration process starts from today


NEW DELHI: St Stephen’s College will begin the online registration process for admissions on the college’s official website today i.e., July 7, 2020.

Interested candidates can apply for St Stephen’s admission through the Delhi University admission portal. After the registration and payment of application fees, the student will be allotted a university application number, which students will have to use while registering for the college admission. All candidates should register at St Stephen’s College using the official online application form, clearly indicating their DU registration number. The last date to register for St Stephen’s admission 2020 is July 18, 2020.

As per the update available on the college’s portal,
the admissions for both UG and PG are entirely online this year. All candidates are advised to register at the University of Delhi’s registration site before the official deadline i.e., July 18.

Foreign students applying to College must use the number received by them from the Foreign Students Registry Office instead of the DU Registration Number.

The interviews will also be conducted online due to the Covid-19 pandemic and there will be no trial for admissions under the sports quota, the college said in its prospectus issued on Sunday. This year, there will also be no written test. Being a religious minority institute, St Stephen’s reserves 50% of its seats for Christian students. The college is yet to announce the cutoff dates.

For admission, it will give 85% weightage to Class 12 marks and 15% to interviews in the absence of any written test due to the pandemic. According to the prospectus, the interview will have components on academics, co-curricular activities, general awareness, and sense of values. Candidates who seek admissions under the caste quota should possess requisite certificates during the admission process.

Within the Christian quota, 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Church of North India and Diocese of Delhi. During the online interview, these candidates will have to provide their baptism certificate, a letter of recommendation from the parish priest that is endorsed by the bishop, a letter of membership of the church, and their parent’s church membership letter.

The college has several supernumerary seats, including sports admissions. The students who apply under this quota will have to produce sports certificates.
