State Government is committed for development: CM Shri Chouhan
Inauguration and foundation laying of works costing Rs. 223 crore 65 lakh in Mungawali

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the state government is fully committed for the welfare of poor and all round development of Mungawali area. He further mentioned that the Mungawali assembly constituency has been presented with gifts of crores of rupees today. Chief Minister promised that all the demands of the people of the area will be fulfilled in future too.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing on the occasion of inauguration and bhumi-pujan as well as benefits’ distribution programme, held at Krishi Upaj Mandi premises of Mungawali assembly constituency of Ashoknagar district on Monday. He said ‘Janta ki Seva Karna Hamara Dharm Hai’ (Service to people is our religion). He will not let any paucity of funds comes in the way of development of the area and welfare of poor. CM Shri Chouhan further stated that the state government will distribute ration to every poor by organizing ‘Anna Utsav’ on September 16. He mentioned that the state government is committed and determined to ensure ‘Gharib Ki Thali Kabhi Na Rahe Khali’ (No poor should remain starved). CM Shri Chouhan said that loan of Rs. 10 thousand is being made available to each street vendor of the state to make him/her self-reliant. An amount of Rs. 4600 crore against crop insurance will be deposited by the government in the accounts of the farmers on September 18, after depositing the premium towards the crop insurance of the farmers.
Inauguration and Bhumi-pujan of Development works costing crores of rupees held
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan dedicated and laid foundation of development works in large number. He said that the picture of the development, already done in the area is before the citizens of Mungawali today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan dedicated 19 works costing Rs. 59 crore 49 lakh and laid foundation of 92 works worth Rs. 164 crore 16 lakh.
Makes promise to sobbing Deepa for eyes treatment
During the programme, while noticing the sobbing girl named Deepa, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan called her and asked the reason for her crying. Deepa told the Chief Minister about the problem with her eyes and lack of money with her family for the treatment. Touched by the pain of Deepa, CM Shri Chouhan assured her with affection that arrangement will be made for her free eye treatment.
Addressing the programme, the former Chief Minister Sushri Uma Bharti said that development at wide scale is being done in the state by the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. The Chief Minister is paying heed to the development in every sector. He is round the clock in service to people. The progress of the state is his main objective. The day is not far, when Madhya Pradesh will be recognized as Model State of the country. In addition, Madhya Pradesh will become number one and leading state of the country in development. She further stated that Madhya Pradesh will contribute first in realizing the dream of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Minister of State Shri Brijendra Singh Yadav said that the Chief Minister has come to Mungawali for the development of the area, carrying gifts of crores of rupees. The Chief Minister of the state, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan is a messiah for poor and farmers. He further said that the irrigation facility will expand in the area after the construction of Nahargarh Pond costing Rs. 20 crore, Thubon pond costing Rs. 16 crore, and Kocha Dam Canal worth Rs. 16 crore. It will prove to be blessings for the farmers, he added.
On this occasion, benefits of total Rs. 198.03 crore were distributed among 2.65 lakh beneficiaries under the various government schemes. In the programme, some beneficiaries were called to the stage and benefits distributed among them symbolically. Chief Minister distributed tri-cycles to 40 handicapped persons. Minister for Urban Administration Shri Bhupendra Singh and former Mayor of Bhopal Shri Alok Sharma were present at the programme.
