Those enrolling for the courses will appear for the exams in September-October- November 2020. The courses have a duration ranging from 4 weeks to 24 weeks.
Candidates who require a SWAYAM certificate will have to register for the final proctored exams and take the exam by paying exam fees.
The SWAYAM courses are being offered by nine regulatory authorities: AICTE for self-paced and overseas courses. NPTEL for engineering courses, UGC for non-technical postgraduation education, CEC for UG level education, NCERT & NIOS for school level education, IGNOU for home schooled or out of school students, IIMB for management education and NITTTR for Teacher Training programme.
Six online courses by SWAYAM platform have been placed among the top 30 online courses of 2019 according to Class Central, a free online course aggregator from reputed universities such as Stanford, MIT, Harvard etc. These courses include Digital Marketing course offered by Panjab University, Chandigarh; Animation course offered by Banaras Hindu University, Mathematical Economics course offered by Doon University, Dehradun; Python for Data Science course offered by IIT Madras, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) course offered by Avianshilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu and Academic Writing course offered by HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal.
