Unlock 1.0: How inter-state movement rules change in Unlock 1.0


NEW DELHI: Ministry on Home Affairs on Saturday issued a new set of guidelines for the Lockdown 5.0.
Touted to be Unlock 1.0, a greater degree of freedom is offered in terms of movement and reopening of services with social distancing a priority.
MHA new guidelines explain the phased re-opening of areas outside the containment zones.
Here are the guidelines regarding personal mobility between June 1 to June 30:
1. International air travel of passengers and operation of Metro Rail will remain prohibited.
2. There shall be no restriction on inter-State and intra-State movement of persons and goods. No separate permission/ approval/e-permit will be required for such movements.
3. However, if a State/ UT, based on reasons of public health and its assessment of the situation, proposes to regulate the movement of persons, it will give wide publicity in advance regarding the restrictions to be placed on such movement, and the related procedures to be followed.
4. Night Curfew shall continue to remain in force, on the movement of individuals, for all non-essential activities. However, the revised timings of the curfew will be from 9 pm to 5 am.
