Volkswagen launches enhanced app for in-car assistance


NEW DELHI: Volkswagen India on Tuesday launched the upgraded My Volkswagen Connect assistant to offer a much more secured and enhanced in-car experience. The smart assistant records, protects and analyzes the data.
The new My Volkswagen Connect feature comes as standard in the Polo GT TSI and the Vento Highline Plus.
The new assistant comes with features like real time location, towing alert, geo-fencing, route deviation alert, SOS call and many more.
My Volkswagen Connect assistant sports a simple and easy user interface which can be accessed by plugging the dongle to the on-board diagnostics (OBD) port of the car. It can be paired to any Android or iOS device after a secure OTP exchange.
The app also enables customers to locate point of interest and also to reach out to customer care or road side assistance, in case of emergencies. Additionally, customers can also use the app to scan, upload and store critical vehicular documents or related official documents for a paperless experience. Customers can also use the app to set renewal reminders for vehicle insurance and receive ‘over the air’ (OTA) software update.
Currently, the smart assistant is available with 3 years of free subscription and 3 years of warranty.
“We introduced the upgraded ‘My Volkswagen Connect’ app that offers customer convenience and safety at their fingertips. Customers will have access to real time vehicle analysis and assistance that would make them aware of their vehicle condition, driving patterns and enhance the overall fun-to-drive experience that a Volkswagen stands for,” said Steffen Knapp, Director, VPCI.
